Background

One of Pertemps’ MSP clients, a major utilities provider went through a significant ‘Organisational Design’ process with major changes affecting almost every part of their business. During this process there was an exponential increase in staffing requirements with a heavy focus on specialist IT and other professional/technical contractors to support with the client’s migration of their CRM to a SAP based system. As part of our remit circa 95 new contractors were required to be sourced and on boarded within a 12 week timeframe.

Actions

Our existing on-site team was still dealing with ‘business as usual’ levels of recruitment for the client, so a decision was quickly made to increase the delivery team size by 4 heads and also to fully engage the team of specialist recruiters within Pertemps’ Shared Service Delivery Centre to compliment the onsite team and give further depth and breadth to our solution capability. The needs were for contractor fulfilling roles from Programme Managers through to Testing, Data and Billings including niche roles such as IDEX Solutions Lead, SAP Basis Lead and Defect Management.

Outcome

The results were exceptional with 100% of roles being fulfilled on time with correctly skilled and experienced contractors. All new contractors were sourced and onboarded within the client’s original project timeframe.
